The campsites are very beautiful, much nicer than Taylor Meadows or Garibaldi Lake's overcrowded and packed in campsites. Near the Sea to Sky Highway near the turnoff to Cheakamus Lake Road you will find a restaurant and cafe. There is even an unmarked route to Black Tusk that is easy to stumble upon just before you get to the small lakes below Black Tusk.

Camping fees must be paid before entering the park. Either edging the trail or as a mighty obstacle to climb over. Garibaldi Provincial Park lies in between Squamish and Whistler.

The trailhead, marked Flank Trail is located in Function Junction, on the opposite side of the Sea to Sky Highway from the Cheakamus Lake Road. Cheakamus Lake is a glacial lake, which gives it its vibrant colouring and unusually cold temperatures. Biking to Cheakamus Lake is an unexpectedly good option.
Take a dip with panoramic views of glaciers and snowcapped peaks. There are a considerable number of highlights to the Cheakamus Lake trail and Cheakamus Lake.
It takes roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour to hike this easy trail. People of all ages were hiking. It is one of the more accessible hikes in Garibaldi Provincial Park and the trail rarely gets steep. A couple of small hills and lots of streams to drink from.
Public transit is also a very good option to get to Cheakamus Lake.

You will also find elaborate bear-proof food hanging cables at both campsites. Side trips can be made to the Black Tusk, Panorama Ridge or Garibaldi Lake.
Day hiking in Garibaldi Provincial Park is free and parking at all the trailheads is free as well.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are included while on the trip. Continue through the Cinder Flats and Black Tusk meadows to Taylor Meadows and onto the Garibaldi Lake parking lot.
