As you enter the Whistler area, continue following the highway and pass the turn off to Whistler Village, continuing north on the Sea To Sky. Although there are some years where the summer sun leaves the lake with no icebergs at all, that is definitely a rarity. As summer brings its warmth, the icebergs will break apart. Some elevation in the beginning, but then easy. The first part from the trailhead is through the trees, and has some quick moderate elevation g. We joined one of the park rangers for this hike who was very good guide.

At Iceberg Lake...so peaceful and quiet! We learned about the plants along the trail as well as about the animals living in the area.
Stops at The National Bison Range as well as Flathead Lake. Cross this second road and walk up the steep bank on the other side into the forest. It was a very warm day out, and you are in the direct sunlight for most of the way, so make sure you bring lots of sunscreen and, Iceberg Lake is a popular hiking destination, and the trail that gets you there adds to the experience. It was one of my favorite hikes in the park. We filled our Camelback with the lake water and it was amazing!!!

This will add a walk of another two-tenths of a mile to reach the trailhead. Early season has much of the lake frozen, with sparse icebergs throughout. Sad part... no icebergs :( Good news... we'll have to go back again to see them. be sent by Email through the Contact Us The trails are a bit confusing along the lower section but staying on the Lower 19 Mile Creek Trail (sometime called the 19 Mile Creek East Trail) will take you to the Upper 19 Mile Creek Trail, and once at the Upper trail, this trail goes straight to Iceberg Lake.
Oh...and saw no Grizzlies but there were fresh tracks and they were massive prints! The. Saw lot's of wildlife and the lake is stunning beautiful.
